The Xbox 360 has been an incredible success in no small part to its online capability and profiles. Xbox live has kept my friends and I occupied for years and continues to improve into the most enjoyable online experience imaginable.

One aspect of the online features that keeps us coming back is the competitive streak we all have for our gamer scores, which are built by acquiring achievements through every game we play. If you don't own an Xbox or haven't played any Xbox games I can assure you that gaining easy Xbox 360 achievements is both highly motivating for completing games and incredibly addictive once you get the bug. Is there anything more satisfying than the bing sound from your TV and the G's appearing?

It has taken many of us years to build our scores to a respectful level. Some of us have taken the more natural approach whilst others have artificially piled on the points buying games they knew full well would be easy to complete with maximum benefit. Isn't this cheating though? Absolutely not! I for one like to play games and level up more score naturally but I see no issue with gaining a higher score with easy games as you still need to apply some effort in completing them. In fact, a number of friends have found a few games that they return to a number of times since completing them as they enjoyed the experience so much.

So without further ado achievement hunters here is a list of games that will help boost your gamer score with minimum effort and time and a few to avoid if you are in a rush. Happy achievement hunting!

Top 10 Easy Games for achievements (and a few extras)

If you want to boost your gamer score quickly here are the games to do it with:

  1. Avatar: The last air bender - 1000 points can be achieved in less than 3 minutes. This is no joke, see the video below to see how its done. Load the game and hit the B button till the full points have racked up. The easiest G's you will ever achieve in less time than a round of boxing.
  2. Fight Night Round 3 - That takes us nicely on to this boxing game that, using a sneaky cheating process, will allow you to rack up 1000 points in under 10 hours of play. Put the difficulty on easy, enable illegal blows and bash your opponent with with till his health is low. Lay down a hay maker and the win is yours. Simply repeat the process in career mode to snatch the G's.
  3. King Kong - 1000 points in around 6 hours. A terrible game to play, but for G hunters you will be well in your element. Play through the story mode on easy and collect the points as you go, its as simple as that. Should take you around 5 hours to get all 1000 G's.
  4. Kung Fu Panda - For those of us that would like maximum results with minimum effort use the cheats. This one will give you invincibility when playing the story mode: DOWN, DOWN, RIGHT, UP LEFT. Play on any difficulty with the cheat and rack up the points in around 8 hours. Another easy 1000 points.
  5. Megamind: Ultimate showdown - A great game to collect 1000 points in under 5 hours. No collectibles, so play through the game in single player (avoid Co-op) and the points will come to you easily.
  6. Backyard Football 2009 - 10 achievements, 1000 points, all in under 15 minutes. What more could you ask for? Play through a standard game and pick up all of the points in a single quarter, pretty easy really.
  7. NBA 2K6 - Basketball fans rejoice, one of the original hoops games contains only 5 achievements that can be acquired in less than an hour in a single game. Plan properly and you will walk away with the full 1000 points.
  8. NHL 2K6 - This 2k Sports game offers a sturdy 1000 points in, once again, only 5 achievements. The final one is quick tough, but with minimal practise you should get it from a penalty.
  9. MLB 2K6 - Depending on your ability level this baseball classic shouldn't take more than an hour. Another game with only 5 easy to attain achievements.
  10. College Hoops 2K6 - Yet another simple game with 5 achievements. Pick them all up in 1 game in around an hour in a custom length game.
  11. Truth or Lies - This one needs a little hardware,
  12. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - OK, so its going to take you a whole 4 hours or so to collect them all, but a 1000 G game that has no collectibles is a dream for achievement collectors. Bash your way through the one player game and watch your score soar.
  13. Terminator Salvation - 11 easy to attain offline achievements make this game a worthwhile purchase if you were a fan of the movie or not. You should have them all wrapped up in a less than challenging afternoon.
  14. Lost - Lots to do but worth doing it all for the G's. Its certainly not going to be the best game you have ever played, but for the G hunters its a classic choice. Play through the game, collect those achievements and be happy with the 1000 points at the end. Simple!
  15. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - It might not be the quickest game to gather the maximum, but its certainly worth the extra effort considering 1250 g's are on offer. Its a great game in my opinion, so its an enjoyable experience while you earn. Should be cheap by now as well.

And one not on the Xbox

Fallout 3 PC - OK, so it might not be on the 360, but it will earn you an incredible 1550 points in under 10 minutes. Can this really be true? Sure is, I tested it! Follow the simple video guide below and steel those points in no time at all.
