Clare Florist - The best website to send flowers in the UK on Valentines Day
72Clare Florist are one of the best online flower sellers because of there beautiful selection, fast delivery and value for money.
Flowers are the perfect gift for mothers day, valentines day, a wedding or many other special occasions. Many florists exist both locally to you and online, so making that once in a lifetime newborns birthday or even a proposal can be achieved at short notice.
In the past I have tried a number of florists online dependant on my budget and how quickly I need them delivered. Some are more expensive while others still offer a quality product for less money.
Anniversaries, birthdays and funerals all warrant a different choice specific to the occasion and Clare Florist offers them all. Love your partner and want them to know with a surprise at work? Have a friend that has just moved home and want them to settle in with a nice bouquet? Cheated on your girlfriend and feel guilty? They have you covered.
To start we need to recognise the four key areas of any service review. They are:
- Price
- Quality of the product
- Quality of customer service
- Speed of delivery
A number of other factors come in to play when you make a decision to buy online but I will focus on these.
The design of the website is very simple and easy to roam around. Spend a few minutes looking through the different categories and you will soon realise that you are in good hands.
A number of buyers have complained in reviews that the variety of flowers that you receive aren't like the pictures on the site but that isn't the case in my experience. What you buy is what you get but if you are concerned I recommend calling them on the customer service to double check.
Price
Lets be honest, in the current financial climate we are all looking to save and get value for money. With Clare Florist you get exactly that.
With prices starting from £19.99 including standard delivery there is something for everyone's price range. I bought my mum's mothers day present from Clare Florist last year. It was a seasonal bouquet that cost around £40, which was well worth the money. The flowers were beautiful and fresh.
A number of special offers are always available with some full gift packs from £49.95 including delivery. They include a bouquet and vase as well as either a card and chocolates or card and teddy.
Quality of the product
One word, superb. The flowers are fresh and will last for a week at least if treated properly. The packaging used to deliver the flowers is excellent and will keep them in perfect condition for the journey to your door.
Flowers from some other sellers look visibly cheap and look nothing like the ones shown in the pictures on the website. With Clare Florist you get the opposite. My partner purchased a stunning tulip and freesia bouquet (seen on the right) for a friend at her sons Christening. We had them sent directly to her and we were complimented by a number of guests who attended. High praise also came from our friends mother, who is suffice to say not easily pleased!
Quality of customer service
Most online retailers have phone and email contact options in case you need to ask questions regarding an existing or potential purchase.
In the past I have not needed to contact them as everything was done as I requested and all delivery times were met to the minute. For others however this will not always be the case so I took the liberty of calling and emailing them to gauge how efficient and helpful they were.
The email response was swift and answered all of my picky questions. It was my intention to at least challenge them slightly with questions involving the colour options and what I should expect from the "Florist select" option, which gives the florist the choice of what to include in your bouquet.
During the phone call I made it clear that I knew nothing about flowers and what I wanted to buy (a get well soon bunch was the example chosen). The woman was extremely helpful, courteous and explained everything in great detail. Nothing bad to be said.
Speed of delivery
Need your flowers in a rush? The same day perhaps? Look no further as Clare Florists are the people for you.
Internet businesses depend on quick and reliable delivery. Fedex postage is used to ensure that you get your order fast.
Having ordered in the morning they arrived later the same day so I can testify that this service is ideal if you have forgotten an anniversary, birthday or just need a pick me up gift in a hurry.
Standard delivery is included in the cost of the order but I suggest upgrading for a small fee to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Recommendations
The roses, both red and white, are spectacular.
Caring well for them once they arrive will make them last a lot longer, so grab a vase (if you don't include one with your order) and sit them in water as soon as they are opened.

Ordered orchids on Tuesday for my mum's birthday on Friday. Did not arrive by Friday so sent email - no response. Did not arrive Saturday either. Tried to phone and they were closed. On a Saturday? Left message with my phone, my mother's phone and my email adress. I'll wait to see how they respond on Monday. Meanwhile my mum's 89th birthday was without flowers from her son who lives in Canada.
Update: Received a response to my (second) email - which is good. Seems the delivery date had been set to February 2. I do not know how this hapened, and did not notice on the order confirmation email because at the top there was a statement that next day delivery was included in the purchase price. I think there must have been an override in their system that made the Feb 2 date the earliest they could deliver this, but if this is the case it certainly was not very clear. Anyway, seems Clare Florist is processing this order correctly according to the order instructions and these will be delivered tomorrow.
